Charminar
The Charminar (lit. ’four minarets’) is a monument located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Constructed in 1591, the landmark is a symbol of Hyderabad and officially incorporated in the emblem of Telangana. The Charminar’s long history includes the existence of a mosque on its top floor for more than 425 years. While both historically and religiously significant, it is also known for its popular and busy local markets surrounding the structure, and has become one of the most frequented tourist attractions in Hyderabad. Charminar is also a site of numerous festival celebrations, such as Eid-ul-adha and Eid al-Fitr, as it is adjacent to the city’s main mosque, the Makkah Masjid.
Golconda Fort
Golconda is a fortified citadel and ruined city located on the western outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The fort was originally built by Kakatiya ruler Pratāparudra in the 11th century out of mud walls. It was ceded to the Bahmani Kings from Musunuri Nayakas during the reign of the Bahmani Sultan Mohammed Shah I, during the first Bahmani-Vijayanagar War. Following the death of Sultan Mahmood Shah, the Sultanate disintegrated and Sultan Quli, who had been appointed as the Governor of Hyderabad by the Bahmani Kings, fortified the city and made it the capital of the Golconda Sultanate. Because of the vicinity of diamond mines, especially Kollur Mine, Golconda flourished as a trade centre of large diamonds known as Golconda Diamonds. Golconda fort is currently abandoned and in ruins. The complex was put by UNESCO on its “tentative list” to become a World Heritage Site in 2014, with other forts in the region, under the name Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate (despite there being a number of different sultanates).
Statue of Equality (Ramanuja) | 108 DivyaDesams
The Statue of Equality is a statue of the 11th-century Indian philosopher Ramanuja, located on the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal, Ranga Reddy district in the outskirts of Hyderabad. It is the second tallest sitting statue in the world. The project of building the statue was conceptualised by the trust to commemorate the 1,000th birth anniversary of Ramanuja. Costing an estimated ₹1,000 crore (US$120 million), the project was paid for through monetary donations by devotees in a major part.
Salar Jung Museum
The Salar Jung Museum is an art museum located at Dar-ul-Shifa, on the southern bank of the Musi River in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is one of the notable National Museums of India. Originally a private art collection of the Salar Jung family, it was endowed to the nation after the death of Salar Jung III. It was inaugurated on 16 December 1951. It has a collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artefacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from Japan, China, Burma, Nepal, India, Persia, Egypt, Europe, and North America. It is one of the largest museums in the world.
Durgam Cheruvu
Durgam Cheruvu, also known as Raidurgam Cheruvu, is a freshwater lake located in Rangareddy district, Jagathgiri Gutta, Telangana, India. The lake, which is spread over 83 acres (34 ha), is located near the city of Hyderabad. The lake is also known as Secret Lake because it is hidden between the localities of Jubilee Hills and Madhapur. The Durgam Cheruvu Bridge, which traverses the lake, was inaugurated in September 2020.
Buddha Statue

Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City is an integrated film studio facility located in Hyderabad, India. Spread over 1,666 acres (674 ha), it holds the title of the largest film studio complex in the world, as certified by the Guinness World Records. It was established by Telugu media tycoon Ramoji Rao in 1996. The Guardian described it as a “city within a city.” In addition to its film production capabilities, Ramoji Film City serves as a thematic holiday destination and popular tourist attraction. It includes a variety of natural and artificial attractions, including an amusement park. Around 1.5 million tourists visit the place every year.
Chowmahalla Palace
Chowmahalla Palace or Chowmahallat is the palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad State located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was the seat of power of the Asaf Jahi dynasty (1720-1948) and was the official residence of the Nizams during their reign. Presently the palace is converted into a museum but the ownership still lies with the family. The palace is constructed at the location of an earlier palace of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty and Asaf Jahi Dynasty close to the Charminar. Construction of the palace as it stands today was started by Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II[3] in 1769. He ordered the building of four palaces from which the nomenclature of Chau Mahalla was acquired. The word chār or chahār, and its variation chow, means “four” and the word mahal means “palace” in Urdu, Hindi and Persian.
Shilparamam Art & Craft Village
Shilparamam is an arts and crafts village located in Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The village was conceived with an idea to create an environment for the preservation of traditional Indian crafts. There are ethnic festivals round the year. Shilparamam, a crafts village, conceived in the year 1992, is situated just about few kilometers from Hyderabad city. Sprawling over 65 acres (260,000 m2) of land in the hi-tech hub city of India, Shilparamam gives a scenic ambience of tradition and cultural heritage. For promotion and preservation of Indian arts and crafts and to motivate the artisans, the state government established this platform.
Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park (also known as Zoo Park) is a zoo located near Mir Alam Tank in Bahadurpura, Telangana, India. It is one of the most visited destinations in Hyderabad. History Nehru Zoological Park’s construction was started on 26 October 1959 and opened to the public on 6 October 1963. The Park is run by forest department, Government of Telangana, and is named after the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Osmania University,
Osmania University, established in 1917, is the seventh oldest in India, the third oldest in south India and the first to be established in the erstwhile princely State of Hyderabad.
Through out its existence of over Ten decades, it has shown remarkable progress and sustained an integrated development of all faculties. It has significantly contributed to the academic and economic development of not only the region but also of the country. High Court – Telangana
The President of India, on 26th December, 2018, has issued orders bifurcating The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh into High Court of Andhra Pradesh with the principal seat at Amaravati and High Court for the State of Telangana with the principal seat at Hyderabad. The bifurcation and the constitution of separate High Courts for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will come into effect from 1st January 2019.
Hyderabad Assembly with Ambedkar Statue
The statue is 125 feet tall and stands on a 50 feet high plinth, thus its total height is 175 feet. After the Statue of Social Justice in Vijayawada, this is the tallest statue of B. R. Ambedkar in the world. It is the fifth tallest, and third tallest standing statue in India. CM K. Chandrashekar Rao, Prakash Ambedkar infront of 125 feet Ambedkar Statue in Hyderabad on 14 April 2023 The then Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao laid the foundation stone of Ambedkar’s 125 feet tall statue on 14 April 2016 on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary. The foundation stone was laid in 2016, but the construction of the statue began in 2021. After 7 years, the CM unveiled this giant statue of Ambedkar on 14 April 2023 on the occasion of his 132nd birth anniversary. The statue was designed by Ram V. Sutar. The memorial is spread over an area of 11.8 acres. It has a grand statue, foundation building, a replica of the Indian Parliament, museum, library, conference hall and other structures. The cost for the entire monument was around Rs. 146.5 crores.
